So which is better: Equiderma, or Mane 'N Tail?

In the end, I don't really think it's that easy to boil down to between these two products. They both have their upsides. *Video review at the bottom* Review
So what do I think about Equiderma after using it? The answer is, I actually rather like it. I couldn't help but think the entire time I was using it that I really liked the product itself. Now, if it were just the shampoos, I'd like Mane 'N Tail better. Simply because after shampooing, the hair was softer after Mane 'N Tail. Once the conditioner was applied though, the hair was equally soft on both sides. I think Equiderma probably has the superior conditioner. Equiderma is a liquid soap, so don't be expecting to put this in a bucket with some water. This goes right on out of the bottle. Speaking of which, I love the spout on these bottles. It makes it real easy to put it exactly where you want it to go. Just be careful not to tip the bottles over open though, because you're going to lose product if you do. I still don't like the higher price tag. I wish it were a bit cheaper. Personally, I'd be happier if it were down around $15 a bottle....max. But that's just me. I am happy that at least I'm getting 32oz of product, instead of 12oz... The Test
So I did this test like the last one.
1) Catch the horse, brush the loose hair and dust off.
*I do this first, because these things are not a good indicator of the shampoo's ability to remove. If a brush can get it off, it's not impressive when the shampoo does it. Also, if she were caked with mud, I would brush this off as well. I don't need to know if the shampoo can get mud off. Dawn dish soap can do that. I need to know if the shampoo can get out the stains and make my horse shiny. 2) Take before photos.
3) Hose her down. (It was 94 degrees, feeling like 104. She was loving this)
4) Use 1 of the products on one half of her body. Of this is on the left side, use on her tail. If this is on her right side, use on her mane.
5) Rise body and squeegee.
6) Shampoo feather and mane or tail. 7) Let sit then rinse.
8) Condition feather and mane or tail.
9) Let sit and rinse.
10) Repeat steps 4-9 on the other side with the second product.
11) Let sit, go get a drink.
12) Return, touch hair, brush mane and tail back out.
13) Take after photos.
14) Bonus if you get a video (I did not this time. Started suffering from a heat stroke)
15) Put her back out in the field to get filthy again.
*Note* Elsa does not need to be tied to anything for a bath. So long as she's got some green grass, she won't be going far. Lazy girl.

My choice is her left side....
Mane 'N Tail
This being said, I still think Equiderma is an excellent product. It really ended up boiling down to two things.
1) Mane 'N Tail is still SO much cheaper. Definitely the most bang for your buck. I only paid a little over $5 a bottle for Mane 'N Tail, vs the $21.99 price tag Equiderma boasts....plus shipping and handling.
2) The Mane 'N Tail side was a bit whiter and a bit more shiny. That's what matters in a show. If I only have 1 or 2 washes before a show, Mane 'N Tail would be the obvious choice.
Final Thoughts
One thing needs to be said before I let you go. This is my findings immediately after ONE use. In a couple days I will feel all of Elsa's hair, see if there's any difference in feel. I'll see if one side has remained cleaner or more shiny than the other side. Then I will give an update.
Equiderma is a product I would recommend. It comes in a big bottle (always a plus), it's easy to apply, I don't feel like I used any more of it than Mane 'N Tail, I liked how it felt going on, and I liked the amount of lather it had. I do wish it was cheaper, but all in all I think it's a good product. For those who like a more natural product, this is it. I do think I will be buying some of their other products in the future myself as well.
All in all, Equiderma is a good product.
